It very much looks like I won't make it to even 100 books this year, which is a pitiful number by my standards. Though I guess one of the reasons is that I haven't been reading that much manga this year. I came back to town today after almost a week's visit with my friends. I always enjoy visiting S and B, because the visits are so relaxing and fun. I think the info that I read 6 books during the visit is a good indication of how relaxing it can be. S and I both enjoy just being together and reading. My recent reading has consisted mostly of borrowed books. I read three books in Charlaine Harris's Lily Bard mystery series (96. Shakespeare's Christmas, 97. Shakespeare's Trollop, and 98. I just read in the December 2005 Locus that Charlaine Harris has sold the TV rights to her Sookie Stackhouse series. The pilot will be produced for HBO. Sounds interesting, though it might be a bit too reminiscent of Buffy.
